The world of showjumping is full of excitement - the desire to go higher and faster whilst maintaining poise and control infects us all.
At Allens Hill, we want everyone to come along and enjoy themselves. Hence we run a wide range of showjumping competitions catering for all abilities and all types of horses and ponies. Our fillers are varied and wings, the courses ever changing and occasionally our resident gnomes will make an appearance… The heights start at an inviting 50cm and finish at a more imposing 1.30m.
Essentially our showjumping competitions are split into two types - unaffiliated classes and those affiliated to British Showjumping - although both are run under British Showjumping rules.
Anyone with a horse or pony can come along to our unaffiliated showjumping competitions which, depending upon the number of entries, are split into pony or horse sections.
We run qualifiers for Cricklands and Trailblazers, hold NSEA qualifiers and have our own prize fund classes also.
In more recent times, we have started running NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) dressage competitions where individuals and teams represent their schools to qualify for the NSEA Championships.
Every month from July to February, we hold competitions which are part of the Pony Club Winter League Showjumping series, with classes of heights of 80cm and 90cm.
This is an exciting training opportunity for you. Every Tuesday, the progressive clear round showjumping occurs where for one small fee, you can come and have a go jumping a range of heights starting at 70cm at 10am moving up 10cm every hour finishing around 3pm with 1.20m.
